Chris Barr is a man of God who is driven to encourage the hearts of others through sacrificial service. He is an ambassador of Christ Jesus committed to being an unshakable messenger of the Gospel. He provides leadership to CrossTrainers, a men’s ministry for over 33 years, serving as both a board member and speaking team member delivering messages to the Best Men in America. At CrossTrainers, he is working to help men Live Well and Finish Strong. The Des Moines area youth know Chris as “Coach Barr” leading instruction in many sports.

He serves as a Sports Chaplain for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) over the past nine years focused on one of the area High Schools and Grand View University Football. As the FCA Character and Life Coach, he has helped build and reinforce a strong Faith foundation in young men pursuing their full potential as athletes and men.

By day Chris is the Director of Business Relations at Communication Innovators based out of Pleasant Hill, Iowa. (20 years of service)
A native son of Iowa, Chris studied at Midland Lutheran University from which he earned a BA degree in Human Services with a minor in Business Administration.

An effective communicator of God’s Word, Chris Barr brings passion to the delivery of Truth. Blessed to be married to Mia for 26 years; Team Barr is proud parents of four sons, Noah, Jackson, Max and Ty. Noah is married to Claudia who promoted Chris to "POPS" with the addition of Eni Rose in 2023!
