LaRon is a transformational speaker, future best-selling author, minister, 4x Olympic Trials competitor, and Head Track and Field/Cross Country coach. He is the CEO of his own company Like A Pro LLC that serves as health and fitness platform for many; including individual training, sport training, local school camps, community center programming, and corporate training.
Born in Brunswick Georgia, 1982, Bennett grew up an avid swimmer and talented baseball player. It wasn’t until his middle school coach requested that he run track, that he joined the track team. In high school he would become a starter in football and state-runner up in track. His success would garner the attention of several schools, including Florida State, but he would ultimately decide run track at The University of Georgia.
Bennett became the president of Kingdom Builders; a collaboration of church leaders assemble to serve as a gateway for church unity. Soon after that he would be invited to join the Contributors Breakfast Club, which is a Christian based organization created to help local organizations with charitable donations and community relations. He also partnered with FCA to speak at notable camps such as Fields of Faith and local Huddles. He was a program director and the historic Willkie House where he created daily educational programs for inner city youth. He was also the youth leader and minister of music at Elim Christian Fellowship. It was in each of these areas, Bennett was able to directly impact and change the lives of hundreds.
In September of 2021, Bennett accepted an assistant coaching position at the prestigious University of Virginia. LaRon, his wife Kali, and two kids- Malachi and Naomi, currently live in Charlottesville Virginia.
